The band showcases tightly crafted original tunes, soaring vocal harmonies and catchy re-created covers. They'll make you stomp your boots, clap your hands, shed a tear, and always leave you wanting more.

What to bring:

Several tables and chairs, along with floor seating (blankets and bolsters) will be available for use - however, we recommend bringing comfortable seating if you need additional support as we expect this event to sell out.

Meet October’s Artist

Good Old Fashioned

Chris and Callie met 13 years ago playing music under the Higgins Street Bridge in Missoula, Montana. Drawn to each other’s voices, they began singing together (and dating!) and Good Old Fashioned was born. Callie has been singing since she could talk and grew up performing in musicals, ensembles, choirs, and a college acapella group. Chris fell in love with the guitar at age 12, learning songs by ear and practicing with his groovy high school band in his parents’ basement. It wasn’t until he met Callie that he felt he found his true voice. They eventually married and now have two beautiful boys together (Wally and Harvest).

When they first sang together, Callie and Chris both recognized they had something special; their voices blend in easy harmony and their connection is magical. Good Old Fashioned began regularly playing music around Missoula and Western Montana; from whiskey-soaked barrooms to campfire sing-a-longs to Red Ants Pants and everywhere in between. Over the years they’ve had the pleasure of playing with many great Missoula musicians, and joke that a whole “bluegrass orchestra” has been in and out of the band over the last decade-plus.

Callie’s sister Ceci began adding cello and sister harmonies to the band and the sound transformed from a rowdy bar band to an intimate acoustic ensemble. Music has been an integral part of Ceci’s life. She studied piano, cello, and voice from a young age and has a degree in cello performance from the University of Portland. Ceci has recently traveled extensively in Colombia and writes, records, and performs her own music along with performing with Good Old Fashioned.

Good Old Fashioned’s sound has evolved into harmony-driven acoustic roots music, drawing inspiration from diverse sources such as the Talking Heads, Gillian Welch, Fleetwood Mac, Dave Rawlings, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, and many bluegrass greats. Finding inspiration in the vast and beautiful Montana landscape and the joy and turbulence of human existence, they have crafted a sound that is intimate yet expansive. Their music is joyous and heartfelt.

Their warmly received performance at Sacred Ally last Spring was one of their favorites in 13 years of playing together. This evening of beautiful songwriting, musicianship, and magical family harmony will leave your heart singing and your soul full.
