- Land Recognition -

We wish to pay our respects to the sacred land we reside on. We honor this land as the original home to the local and surrounding indigenous tribes of the : Salish, Kootenai, Blackfoot, Crow, Shoshone, and Kalispel (Pend d’ Oreilles) tribes. The first inhabitants of the Missoula area were American Indians from the Salish tribe. They called the area "Nemissoolatakoo," from which "Missoula" is derived. In honor of their ways and those that walked before us, we set the intention to walk in right relations with this land, the plants , the animals, our community and with one-another.
