Chromatic Yoga for Feet

Learn how to tap into the power of your feet to refine and enhance your yoga practice.

Join Val for a two-hour workshop exploring the foundation of your body: your feet.

What might change if you simply paused to pay attention to your feet as you stand, move, and practice yoga? Through mindful movement, exploration, and yoga flows, we'll spend time getting acquainted with your feet, appreciating all they do for you, and discovering how subtle shifts in weight distribution can influence muscular engagement and the way you experience movement.

What is Chromatic Yoga?

Chromatic Yoga is a model of yoga developed by Matt Giordano that explores how movement, alignment, and muscular engagement influence your practice. Rather than focusing solely on the shape of a posture, Chromatic Yoga invites you to explore how specific movement patterns and engagement cues affect your experience. Awareness is a key tenet of Chromatic Yoga.

Val's advanced training in Chromatic Yoga has positively influenced her own practice, helping her develop greater awareness of her weaker muscle groups and rebuild a healthier, more connected relationship with her feet. Through this workshop, she looks forward to sharing some of these explorations with you.

What to expect:

  • Develop greater awareness of your feet and their role in movement.

  • Explore how shifting your weight affects muscular engagement.

  • Discover ways to build a more grounded and connected practice.

  • Cultivate a deeper appreciation for the information your body offers.

You'll leave feeling more grounded, taller, and more confident in your ability to listen to your body and tap into the wisdom of your feet.

Please bring:

  • Yoga mat, there will be some available

  • Journal + pen to process what you learn

  • Water bottle

  • Comfortable clothing to move in

  • An open mind for learning
