Spring Cleanse ~ Spring Alive!
Spring is the ideal time to cleanse & rejuvenate.
Spring arrives with an upward burst of abundant, vital, life giving energy marking the end of Winter’s dormancy & hibernation. It’s an opportunity for us to bloom into a new beginning & take action on the inner visions & plans we’ve been dreaming about all winter. Spring is our time to begin anew with a sense of hope, flexibility, & renewed inner strength.
In the Taoist Five Element tradition, Spring represents the Wood Element which governs the liver, gall bladder, nervous system, eyes, tendons & ligaments...& so much more!
We will begin with the Taoist Healing Sounds & Inner smile meditation. These are excellent practices to quiet the mind while cleansing the organs of held stress, priming the soil for new beginnings. This will be followed by a QiGong warmup & flow sequence to strengthen the tendon & ligaments, to improve flexibility, to break the cycles of old stress patterns, & to help us align with our own deep visions for our lives, readying ourselves for Spring action.
Qigong comes from ancient traditions bringing a relatable workout for modern times that is deeply relaxing while enjoyable to practice. It tonifies & strengthens the whole human system with a kind of down-to-earth practicality that is in full partnership balance with the heavens above.
What to Expect:
Introduction to Taoist 5 Element philosophy, medicine, & Qigong with their rich storehouse of healing & longevity practices
Guided movement exercises including breath work, stretching, & flow sequences for health & vitality which relate specifically to the Spring season
The circulation of Qi (life force energy) in your meridians and primary energy centers to strengthen your immune system, organs, tendons & ligaments, vision & spirit
