The Menopause Map

July Gathering: Libido, Vaginal Health & Sensuality

In perimenopause, changes in libido are often blamed on the mind, when the truth starts much lower in the body. As estrogen declines, vaginal tissue health, blood flow, and sensation can shift—leading to dryness, pain, or a loss of desire that feels confusing and personal.

This month, we're distinguishing between systemic hormones and what the tissues locally need to stay alive and responsive. More importantly, we're expanding the definition of intimacy beyond intercourse to reconnect with sensuality on our own terms. Our idea practice is simple but profound: daily tissue awareness—learning to listen to what's happening below the surface as the first step back toward pleasure.

What to Expect:

You are invited to pull up a chair (or a yoga mat, or a cozy blanket) and join us for an honest, judgment-free conversation about (peri)menopause.

This is not a lecture. It's a gathering of women who are tired of being told "just relax" and are ready for real answers and real support. Together, we'll unpack the "hormone chatter" you hear online, translate the science into plain English, and leave you with one gentle, doable practice.

Come as you are—tired, frustrated, hopeful, or all of the above.

What to Bring:

  • Your curiosity: Bring your questions about the topic and what's happening in your body.

  • A journal and pen: We'll have moments for reflection and note-taking.

  • Something cozy: A favorite mug for tea or cacao, a soft blanket, or comfy socks. We're creating a space where you can physically feel safe and at ease.

  • An open heart: This is a space free of judgment. Your story is welcome here.
