Writing to Relax

Learn to use creative writing as a mindfulness exercise.

Discover the therapeutic power of words as you use creative writing to relax and de-stress. Through gentle prompts, mindfulness exercises, and expressive writing techniques, you'll explore your inner thoughts and emotions in a supportive environment. No prior writing experience is needed—just bring an open mind and a desire to find peace through storytelling. This course is perfect for anyone wanting to cultivate mindfulness, reduce anxiety, and boost their well-being through the art of creative expression.

What to Expect:

  • We’ll arrive and after introductions set intentions and ground to a guided breathing exercise

  • Two brief lessons will each be followed by free write exercises - sharing is always optional

  • To close, we’ll ground again with final takeaways and encouragements

  • A calm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment

  • Short guided meditations to help you relax and focus

  • Simple, accessible writing exercises

  • No writing experience needed

  • Emphasis on process over perfection

  • Time to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself

Please bring:

  • Pen and paper

  • Notebook or journal

  • Laptop or tablet (if you prefer typing)
