Mystic Wolf: After First Friday Dance Party

First Friday doesn't have to end at 8.

As downtown quiets and the night deepens, Sacred Ally opens its doors for an intimate after-hours dance party with Missoula's own Josh Schott of Mystic Wolf.

Josh brings a sound rooted in medicine music, world influences, and the kind of presence that turns a room into a listening sanctuary. Whether you know his work or you're discovering it for the first time, this is an evening designed to move you -- body, heart, and spirit.

Come down from the street. Let the music carry you somewhere worth going.

Doors at 8pm. Show at 8:30pm. End at 10pm.

Meet Josh

The mountains, woods, and fields of northwest Montana (Blackfeet and Salish/Kootenai land) have been home for Mystic Wolf for most of his life. As a result of a transformational healing journey, he lived as a nomad in Latin America, where he began making music in the mountains on the southern end of the world, in the Andes of Chile (Mapuche land). Hiking and backpacking every corner of his home backyard of Glacier Park and surrounding areas fostered a deep spiritual connection to nature and wildlife. That relationship to nature and the rustic culture of Montana inspires a sound where folk weaves intricately with electronica and multicultural rhythms that strikes at your primal core elevating you to the vibrational life force of the Earth. His music guides you on a journey while massaging your soul.

Having been involved in liberation movements since his teenage years, Mystic Wolf uses music as a vehicle and platform for personal and social transformation by elevating our vibration to a frequency of collective liberation. This frequency requires action, so he partners with racial, gender, and economic justice movements and organizations to amplify their message and support their work with the intention to make music with an impact. Mystic Wolf creates a synergistic space for healing, spirituality, liberation work, and music.

Mystic Wolf has released EPs and singles through record labels such as High Vibe Records, Cafe De Anatolia, and Agami Records. He toured throughout the western US on a musical journey called the Pathfinder Tour. With Mark Frieser from Sync Summit as his sync agent, Mystic Wolf's music will soon appear in television and film.
