You are invited to a special collaboration between Sacred Ally and Ground Swell, acknowledging PRIDE and the year-round necessity of uplifting and celebrating the love and humanity of our Queer/LGBTQIA2S+ kin.
These Ecstatic Dance events are a heart-forward, substance-free, and judgment-free container where everyone is invited to fully express, release, and align with your authentic form of movement—through the language of the body. This is a space where all bodies, all emotions, and all ways of being are welcome. You do not need to “know how to dance”. This is a space to give yourself permission to explore how your body wishes to move.
We will begin with an opening circle to introduce the space, meet one another, and tune into our intentions. Our DJ, JoJo Phoenix (they/them), is bringing Queer Praise, a musical arc full of queer love ballads, gay pop, and trans liberation songs. Super dancey, super feel-good, designed to uplift and celebrate. No choreography, no performance—just presence, play, and the freedom to be fully you.
You are invited to stay for a grounding integration and community circle at the end of the dance and we hope you leave feeling more connected to your body, to the brave love and humanity of Queer humans and to this wonderful, Missoula community.
Our Dance Guidelines:
BE Present – No phones, no cameras on the dance floor.
BE Embodied – No talking on the dance floor. Expressive sounds, tones and emotional release is welcome.
BE Consensual – Honor personal boundaries. Listen for a Yes, respect a No.
BE Clear – No intoxicants on the dance floor.
BE Free – Dance how you want to. No judgment.
This is your time to drop into sensation, feeling, and freedom. Let your mind take the backseat, and let your body lead the way.

Meet Sarah
Sarah co-founded Sacred Ally in 2019 with her husband Peter. Her journey as a healer began in 2001 with a deep curiosity in the realms of energy. Her belief is that our experience in life is directly related to the energetic nature of our being. From this curiosity she developed a clear calling to study and be of service through various healing modalities including Massage, Shamanic Reiki, Kambo, Mentorship and Visionary Breathwork.
Over the years Sarah has come to have great respect and reverence for the process of healing. As a Sacred Ally, it is her life’s purpose to hold sacred space for those on their healing and empowerment journey.
Meet JoJo
JoJo Phoenix (they/them) is the founder of Ground Swell Ecstatic Dance and Owner of Touch and Change, LLC. Aside from facilitating dance spaces, JoJo Phoenix co-leads grief rituals and supports individuals and couples with emotional fluency, intimacy, and attuned touch.
