Open Mic Night: Come Share Your Wild Truth

There are things we don’t say out loud —

about sex, about love, about the people we’ve been and the ones we’re becoming.

This night is for that.

Join us for an intimate, softly provocative evening of music, poetry, and short stories centered on sex, relationships, and love—the tender, the messy, the hidden, the holy.

What to Expect:

We’ll begin with a welcome, vision, and opening from Erin Anderson, a local writer who launched The Wild Truth, a collection of poems about sex and love, at the end of May.

The intention behind The Wild Truth is in alignment with the intention of this night: to create conversation and honest dialogue, and to offer a platform for people to speak their truth—to be heard, seen, and for their lived experience to be valued.

From there, the mic opens.

This is the start of a monthly gathering—an invitation to be seen and heard in all that you carry: vulnerability, guilt, shame, remorse, desire, joy, and everything in between.

If you feel called to share, we ask that pieces are kept between 3–5 minutes, making space for multiple voices to rise.

Please bring:

Copies of The Wild Truth will be available for purchase at the event for those who are interested, and you’ll also have the option to add the book to your registration when signing up through Sacred Ally.

Come speak.

Come listen.

Come witness yourself in others.

We hope you can join us.

Meet Erin

Erin K. Anderson is a yoga teacher and writer based in Montana, where her life is shaped by movement, land, and the quiet discipline of attention. Her work sits at the intersection of embodiment and language—where breath, memory, and lived experience become ways of understanding intimacy, identity, and change.

When she is not teaching or writing, she is often outdoors with her dog, moving through a life grounded in presence, solitude, and connection to place. Her writing explores emotional honesty, desire, and the ways people come to understand themselves through relationship, rupture, and return.

The Wild Truth is her debut collection.

Registration for this event is just $10

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to help ensure this event can move forward as planned.
