The Menopause Map
August — Brain Fog, Memory & Midlife Focus
In perimenopause, walking into a room and forgetting why is rarely a sign of early dementia—it's often a sign of low estrogen. Estrogen is a key player in brain function, supporting memory, focus, and verbal agility, and when it fluctuates, the mental fog can feel thick and terrifying. To make matters worse, the multitasking that once worked now overwhelms an under-fueled brain, leaving us stuck in mental quicksand.
This month, we're demystifying estrogen's role in the brain and separating real concern from hormonal noise. Our idea practice is a dual approach: reduce cognitive inputs to lighten the load, and increase movement to wake up the brain—simple steps to clear the fog and rebuild focus from the inside out.
What to Expect:
You are invited to pull up a chair (or a yoga mat, or a cozy blanket) and join us for an honest, judgment-free conversation about (peri)menopause.
This is not a lecture. It's a gathering of women who are tired of being told "just relax" and are ready for real answers and real support. Together, we'll unpack the "hormone chatter" you hear online, translate the science into plain English, and leave you with one gentle, doable practice.
Come as you are—tired, frustrated, hopeful, or all of the above.
What to Bring:
Your curiosity: Bring your questions about the topic and what's happening in your body.
A journal and pen: We'll have moments for reflection and note-taking.
Something cozy: A favorite mug for tea or cacao, a soft blanket, or comfy socks. We're creating a space where you can physically feel safe and at ease.
An open heart: This is a space free of judgment. Your story is welcome here.
